Sydney Thunder required six runs from the final over with three wickets in hand, but 24-year old Husnain Shah delivered six deliveries to restrict the hosts team two runs short of Lahore Qalandars total.
Sydney Thunder Academy Chasing 138, looked comfortably came after the target, with Ryan Gibson and Arjun Nair keeping the scorecard moving. both of them added 51 runs for the first wicket after that Haris Rauf bowled-out both in the start of 13th over of the innings.
Ryan Gibson scored 52 and played 40 bowls, while Arjum Nair added 30 off 24, but the double-wicket over by Haris Rauf turned the game around for Lahore Qalandars as Sydney Thunder were restricted to 135 in 120 bowls. Haris Rauf got three wickets and gave 26 runs, while Dilber Hussain got two wickets conceding 15. “It’s a big win for Qalandars and also for Pakistan. The management of Lahore Qalandars have invested a lot in us and now it’s our time to pay back,” said Haris Rauf.
