Last year Ajay Devgn took to Twitter and announced his magnum opus "Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior". A couple of months back the reports of Saif Ali Khan joining the cast started doing the rounds. It was reported that Saif will play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film. In a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, Saif Ali Khan, who is busy promoting his Baazaar, confirmed being a part of Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior and stated that he has already started shooting for the film.
He, however, refuted the reports that suggested he'll be playing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film and revealed his character to be an anti-hero. It is been further reported that Saif Ali Khan will play a Rajput warrior, Udaybhan Rathod, who was the fort keeper of Mughal King Aurangzeb. But, who will play Shivaji then? Well, a recent report in Dainik Bhaskar suggests that Salman Khan has been roped in to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior.
